In January, the Advanced English class, year 12, took a field trip to the LMU in Munich following an invitation of the Didaktik Chair of the university.
Three foreign English students and their professor Anna leFevre had a workshop prepared for us dealing with the difficult topic of Artificial Intelligence and how to detect faked pictures in the media. In the course of that day our students learnt how to reverse engineer AI generated visuals to different topics. In groups of four they tried different sample prompts and so constructed their own narrative for a ‚click-worthy‘ social media post.
The Turmair students were highly motivated and produced – triggered by the well-prepared and passionate university students -excellent visuals.
After the workshop the whole group went downtown to have a late lunch before hopping on the train back to Straubing.
